We have come to end of the process, by which, we were removing the initial Board provided Apple ID. The devices now just have the kids’ IDs. The process was straight forward. A quick review of the features and functions of iCloud, a discussion of the Google Drive option, the don’t merge but do allow location services chat. Followed by the input of codes, the switching off of apps that are backing up to iCloud.
Went faster as we went forward.
As a footnote – Next year we need to address this issue before the device goes out to students. They should just have their own ID, no Pages. There should also be a iPad 101 course for teachers, EA, TRA, administration etc.
