Digital Human Library – It all began with a blog – my first attempt at sharing my connections in education with a more global audience. Facebook – Although I don’t have a personal Facebook page, I believe that understanding Facebook and other popular social media platforms is an essential practice for educators. We need to understand the tools our students are using to connect to communicate with one another, not only to integrate these platforms into our classroom programs, but to understand what our students need in terms of digital citizenship.
Global Education Network – The Global Education Network is a collaborative, world-wide community initiative involving students, educators, and organizations at all levels. It is designed to significantly increase opportunities for building education-related connections around the globe while supporting cultural awareness and recognition of diversity.
International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) – ISTE membership is a powerful and meaningful way for educators to connect with peers, to gather in a variety of forums to share the challenges and excitement of teaching, and to be part of a community that leads the transformation of education.
ISTE SIG’s – The Special Interest Group (SIG) Program offers ISTE members year-round opportunities to connect and collaborate with like-minded colleagues. From mobile learning to arts education, there’s a SIG for everyone. These are the SIG

Powerful Learning Practice – Powerful Learning Practice has been a leader in professional development for teachers. PLP peeps are all about building networks, connecting educators to one another, and relearning what we think we know. This was one of the first networks I joined!

Twitter – I signed up in 2011 but I didn’t really start using Twitter until 2015. I spend the most of my time on social media using Twitter to connect with educators around the world, as well as other professionals interested in contributing to education.
YouTube – YouTube is the second largest search engine next to Google, and gives a regular person the opportunity to share, remix, and create videos.
