Our math question today is all about the likelihood (chances) of something happening. We have talked about spinners and dice and today we were talking about the chances of our name getting picked next for our turn at calendar.

Here are some of our answers to the chance of our own name getting pulled:

Here are some other conclusions we came to in our discussion:
We learned that the more people join in the less chance you are getting picked.
If there is only one name in the bucket it will be certain.
When your name has already been picked, it is impossible to be picked because your stick is not a choice.
It is equally likely to be picked when there are only two Popsicle sticks in the bucket.
