Announcing Live Learning Canada and FREE Educational Live Streaming Pilot Program

Toronto, CA (April 12, 2018)

The Digital Human Library, Streamable Learning, Royal Botanical Gardens, The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, the Royal BC Museum and Central Okanagan Public Schools are excited to announce a partnership to provide and promote live streamed interactive educational programming to Canadian Schools and homeschool families.

“The goal of the partnership is to empower schools and districts to participate in the next stage of distance learning, and support modern classroom initiatives, such as global education, blended learning, experiential learning, and project-based learning, among other modern educational initiatives.” said Mark Hauk, Teacher and Virtual Field Trip Coordinator, Central Okanagan Public Schools.

“We are happy to join with our Live Learning Canada partners to bring our programming and the larger Digital Human Library and Streamable Learning content community to the Canadian K-12 education community,” said Liz Crocker, Learning Program Developer, The Royal BC Museum.

“We believe our content community’s amazing subject matter experts, unique locations and passion for education can provide valuable supplemental curriculum support to our schools,” said Leigh Cassell, Founder and President, Digital Human Library. “The partnership also hopes to generate increased interest from Canada-based content providers and help live video programming play a greater role in their educational missions,” said Doug Ashton, President, Streamable Learning.

“As one of the early organizations to embrace distance learning as part of our educational outreach, we are excited to participate in the innovative use of video-based learning and in methodologies that can play a role in expanding access to the Canadian’s school population,” Karin Davidson-Taylor, Education Officer, Royal Botanical Gardens.

“Having played a pioneering role in the development of classroom-based video learning, it was a natural next step to join this partnership and help expand access not only to our content but also the content of our current and future content partners,” said Megan McLauchlin, Distance Learning Coordinator, Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology. .

The Live Learning Canada FREE pilot program is available to Canadian public and private schools as well as Canadian homeschool families through the end of our 2017-2018 live streaming calendar of events (June 11, 2017). For more information, including how to get started with the pilot program, contact me or visit www.livelearning.ca.
