Embedding Videos

I am looking to add videos to a post and was wondering the best way to do this?  Should I upload it to youtube, teachertube or what?  I tried to just upload the video into the post but it is larger than the allowed size.  Any suggestions or hints would be appreciated.

Thanks,

C. Hopkins

  1. Hi Cheryl,

The easiest way is to upload it to youtube. Then click on the video and scroll down to the info section. Click on share, then copy the embed code. Then go back to edublogs and when you are in the post that you want to embed the video, you will see 2 formats: visual (the default form) and text. Click on text form and then paste into the spot that you want the video. When you click back onto the visual mode, you will see a yellow box. You can save your draft and preview your post to make sure that the video is there.

    Hope this helps!

  2. Hi Cheryl,
Last year we found it easiest to upload our videos to YouTube, and then embed them in our posts. If you need instructions about how to do this please let me know and I will post about it.

    1. Hi Nicole,

When I visited your blog and previewed your post the YouTube video was there and it was visible on your site. I’m not sure why it didn’t show up. Test it out and let me know how it goes 🙂
