We had a very exciting first week of school! Most of our time was spent learning our way around our new classroom and getting to know one another. We also created a set of Class Agreements. Our Class Agreements is a list of rules we have agreed to follow so we can learn and have fun! These are our Agreements:
Respect – Treat others the way you want to be treated!
Attentive Listening – Listen with your eyes, ears, and hearts.
Appreciation/ No Put-Downs – Speak kindly and think of other people’s feelings.
Right to Pass – The more we participate the more we learn.
Safety – Think of safety first!
One of our favourite activities this week was going on a nature walk, collecting nature, and creating Nature Name Art.
These are some pictures of us working on our Nature Name Art!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Wow! You all look like you had so much fun on your nature walk! How did you pick the nature materials you used to make your names? Did you glue the materials onto your pages or did you put them back into the forest area? What else could you use nature materials to make?

Dear Felicia and Rob Breckon,
Thank you for writing to us on our blog! We picked the nature from on the ground. It was dead. We didn’t pick things that were alive because we still want to enjoy it. We glued the nature to our pages so we could hang our pictures up at school. Some of the things we could make with nature are:
– a car (Tyson)
– trace around our bodies with sticks (Connor)
– use sticks to make a bird (Akasha)
– a deer (Ryan)
– a house (Maricela)
– kite out of feathers (Cohen)
– bird nest out of sticks and leaves and grass (Brian)
