Stephen Central Book Swap

photo 4Each month at Stephen Central Mrs. Rempel and her Grade 2/3’s will be hosting a “New to You Book Swap”. K-6 students at Stephen Central are invited to bring in books from home and trade them for “new to you” books brought in by other students. So if you bring in 2 books, you take home 2 books. If you bring in 10 books, you take home 10 books. Their goal is to promote literacy and a love of reading. This month’s book swap was awesome! The school was a buzz with excitement as kids in all grades swapped their books.

photo 5We want to send out a special thank you to Josh Thompson who brought in enough books to share with everyone in our grade 2 class. Josh and his family wanted to make sure that every student in grade 2 went home with a “new to you” book. So, thank you Josh for being so thoughtful, generous, and kind to your friends. They really appreciated you today!

There is one more special thank you we want to send out today as well. Thank you Heather Rempel and her grade 2/3’s for organizing this month’s “New to You Book Swap”. It was a HUGE success. You rock grade 2/3!

  1. Thankyou for your kind words. We had so much fun getting the book sale ready. We really love books so we are glad that everyone in your class could take home a book. We also should thank the Parent Council for donating money for Mrs. Rempel to spend on new books for our swap! Mr. Bennett also bought some books with school money for our swap! We are lucky to have these people supporting our school too! HAPPY READING! don’t forget to bring the books back next month and get some different books. It will be our last swap before summer holidays and there will be lots of time for us to read over the summer! Thank you Mrs. Cassell for taking the great pictures too!
