Here are a few apps that I think are worth looking into.
SimpleMinds – a mind mapping app that has a broad range of uses (e.g., note taking, concept presentation, assessment)
Socrative – a real time questioning app in which you can check understanding as you go. eClicker is the one used by the Apple folks. The student app is free but the cool teacher one is $15.
Showbie – an app that allows teachers and students to create work, comment directly on it and pass it back for review. This is a great tool,in the paperless classroom.
