My target students all have the common learning need of becoming fluent and accurate readers. They are well below grade level in their reading and are part of Empower. With these students I am first going to focus on communication and creativity.
If I introduce and teach students different methods of creating, showcasing, and producing their work to communicate learning using technology, then students will be able to independently choose the best fit for him/her and build on strengths and interests.
I have introduced students to Edmodo, educreations, imovie, edublogs, and pic collage as a method of presenting work. For reading support, they have also been using raz kids and tumblebooks during daily 5’s listening to reading.
